Today we continued to work on the movement piece, we came up with an idea that at the line 'I wanna be celebrity martyr' in the song, that is the point where Taylor's mind is brainwashed and seduced to terrorism, so we had a movement based explosion where Taylor, from the floor, would jump up and expand out, at which point Callum would just back violently into me, Owen and Joe to represent the explosion. At the end of the movement piece, we decided to have Joe try to escape, to show that not all Muslims are terrorists and don't agree with it, so Taylor kills him on her own accord to show a clear change in to what she was at the start (being controlled when killing) and now she kills on her own accord; this shows that the radicalisation has worked and it sends a message that anyone can be easily targeted and brainwashed by terrorists and you can end up becoming a terrorist.
After this, we then started to look at ideas for the poem part and we decided that we would break the poem up between us (excluding me because I am playing guitar), to show that it's almost like a conversation between all victims of terrorism. We looked up theatre companies such as DV8 and Frantic Assembly to get ideas for movement within the poem. We looked at one in particular that had very naturalistic speech, but the movement was very strange and didn't necessarily mean anything to what was being said, but it was very effective.
